Taking part in the Westhampton Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade is easy and FREE! We have all kinds of groups in the parade every year from fire departments and cub scout groups to local businesses and riders on horseback. Once all applications have been received, we will send an email to everyone with day-of-parade details. Plan on arriving for lineup between 10am-10:30am.
2019 Parade Theme: To Be Determined
SIGN UP TODAY!
If you would like to construct a float to display in the parade and you don’t have a flatbed truck, we can help you do that too by providing a flatbed truck and driver courtesy of Chesterfield Associates. Flatbed trucks come in all different lengths to meet your needs. We’ll even have it delivered to your site (as long as it’s reasonably local). The use of the truck is free. We only ask that the driver is tipped for his work in delivering the truck and driving it the day of the Parade.
We can even help with a little start up cash for the organizers of youth floats. Contact us for more information.
Promote Your Business for FREE!
Local businesses are encouraged to promote their business through the Parade. We only ask that floats reflect the 2019 Parade Theme or St. Patrick’s Day in general.
The Parade Committee reserves the right to deny entry of floats deemed in poor taste or in violation of any rules, laws or ordinances of the local municipalities.
Items cannot be thrown from floats, but may be handed out by pedestrians walking with the float.
Get Your Classic Cool Car In Our Parade!
Do you have a car or truck that people think is pretty cool? If you do, then you should get it in our Parade! Contact us for more information on how to get your vehicle in the 50th Annual Westhampton Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade in 2018.
We’ve had Model Ts, vintage muscle cars and some that were just cool to see!
The Parade Committee offers hefty trophies and cash prizes to the three best floats
in three different categories:
(no cash prize for Commercial)
First Place: $500
Second Place: $250
Third Place: $125
Floats are considered for awards based on different criteria. Floats are judged before the parade and awards are handed out before the parade begins.
Float winners are picked by independent judges from outside the Parade Committee.
For more information regarding judging criteria, please contact us.
Our rules are few and simple:
Throwing items from any entry is strictly prohibited due to safety concerns.
Commercial floats must adhere to an Irish theme or be related to the parade theme.
The committee reserves the right to remove any unit deemed to be in poor taste or violating any rules, laws or ordinances.
